POLICE - On Monday last (before Major Pelham) P.S. Henry Evans charged Thomas Michael, collier, Cwmamman, with having, on the 16th inst, feloniously killed and slayed one John Evan Jones and others. P.S. H. Evans deposed; I am a police sergeant stationed at Cwmamman. I apprehended prisoner at Cwmamman, on the 20th inst., and charged him with taking part in lowering the "cage" belonging to the Garnant Colliery on the 16th inst., and causing the death of ten persons. I believe I shall be able to bring more evidence regarding the matter if the case is remanded until the 2nd of February next. Prisoner was therefore remanded accordingly, bail being accepted.
