Cor Eira, a group of pupils from Glanamman School, won first prize for singing at the Urdd National Eisteddfod at Machynlleth in 1937. They earned their prize with a song titled "Llyffant Bach (Little Frog)".

The teacher on the right of the photograph, Miss Nancy Jones, later became the headmistress of the infants department at Glanamman School
